We cover all of the biggest injury stories throughout the week and on Friday, but feel free to use this as a one-stop shop to catch up on those posts and any other names worth mentioning that we?ll throw in here every Friday.
Panthers at Bears
With Chris Gamble and Jon Beason going on injured reserve this week, the Panthers removed two of the biggest names from their injury report. Linebacker Antwan Applewhite is out and defensive end Thomas Keiser is doubtful, while defensive end Charles Johnson should play after being listed as probable. The Bears will be without wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, but they are otherwise healthy.
Chargers at Browns
The Chargers are looking healthier coming off their bye with cornerback Shareece Wright questionable and tackle Jared Gaither probable after they both were out of the lineup before the bye week. Wide receiver Eddie Royal is also questionable. As mentioned earlier, the Browns have 22 players on the injury report this week. The big news is that running back Trent Richardson looks set to play after another successful practice. Wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi is also questionable and defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin has been ruled out.
Seahawks at Lions
Defensive lineman Jason Jones is doubful for Seattle, but he?s expected to make the trip to Detroit. Guard John Moffitt is questionable after missing the last four games, but won?t start if he does play, and coach Pete Carroll said the team has made a decision that they?re keeping to themselves about activating cornerback Walter Thurmond from the PUP list. The Lions have ruled out cornerback Jacob Lacey and safety Amari Spievey while linebacker DeAndre Levy is doubtful. Defensive end Cliff Avril, safety Louis Delmas and wide receiver Titus Young are all expected to play despite questionable tags.
Jaguars at Packers
You already know that running back Maurice Jones-Drew has been ruled out and the Jaguars will also be without defensive back Dwight Lowery. Wide receiver Laurent Robinson is questionable in his attempt to return from a concussion, while quarterback Blaine Gabbert is probable to start after injuring his non-throwing shoulder. The Packers ruled out fullback John Kuhn, cornerback Sam Shields, linebacker Nick Perry and wide receiver Greg Jennings. Defensive tackle B.J. Raji is probable to play after missing the last two weeks and wide receiver Jordy Nelson will be a game-time decision.
Dolphins at Jets
As expected, Dolphins cornerback Richard Marshall will miss Week Eight. Miami has no other serious injury issues, but the Jets will have to wait until closer to kickoff to know if running backs Bilal Powell (doubtful) and Joe McKnight (questionable) will be able to play. Linebacker Bart Scott is doubtful, while defensive tackle Sione Pou?ha could return to the lineup after getting designated as questionable.
Falcons at Eagles
The Falcons won?t have wide receiver Harry Douglas on Sunday. Eagles guard Danny Watkins is doubtful, which could force Dennis Kelly into the starting lineup at right guard.
Redskins at Steelers
It will be another week without wide receiver Pierre Gar?on for the Redskins and safety Brandon Meriweather isn?t ready to return either. Linebacker London Fletcher is questionable so we will have to wait to find out if he holds onto the longest active consecutive games played streak. The Steelers won?t have safety Troy Polamalu, tackle Marcus Gilbert or running back Rashard Mendenhall, while Isaac Redman has a chance of joining Jonathan Dwyer in the backfield after being listed as questionable.
Patriots vs. Rams (in London)
The Patriots ruled out seven players, a number that dropped to six when they placed cornerback Ras-I Dowling on injured reserve. Tight end Aaron Hernandez did not make the trip to London and safety Patrick Chung is also among the missing. Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola is questionable in his attempt to make a quick return from his separated SC joint and the team may be left to start Joe Barksdale at left tackle again with Rodger Saffold out and Wayne Hunter missing practice all week.
Colts at Titans
Colts running back Donald Brown practiced fully on Friday and is listed as questionable. Linebacker Robert Mathis was limited after missing practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but holds the same designation. The Titans will start Mike Otto at left tackle in place of Michael Roos, which might make it a wise choice to give quarterback Jake Locker another week to heal up.
Raiders at Chiefs
The Chiefs are pretty healthy coming out of their bye with running back Peyton Hillis likely to play after getting listed as probable. Defensive end Glenn Dorsey is questionable. Tackle Khalif Barnes and cornerback Shawntae Spencer are still out for the Raiders, who are considering whether or not to activate linebacker Aaron Curry from the PUP list.
Giants at Cowboys
The Giants listed safety Kenny Phillips and defensive tackle Rocky Bernard as doubtful, while running back Ahmad Bradshaw is questionable despite his guarantees that he will be on the field against the Cowboys. The Cowboys will be without running back DeMarco Murray and Felix Jones is questionable as his replacement which could leave a lot of work for Phillip Tanner. Center Phil Costa, defensive lineman Sean Lissemore and safety Matt Johnson will also miss the game for Dallas.
Saints at Broncos
Tight end Jimmy Graham?s status will be determined on Sunday, which means he?ll be traveling with the team to Denver. Linebacker David Hawthorne is in the same boat. The Broncos only have one serious injury concern. Cornerback Tracy Porter is questionable for a date against his old team after experiencing symptoms similar to ones he felt before suffering a seizure this summer.
