Short Bio: I am a 33 year old mom of 3 crazy boys. I ?stay at home? but am constantly not at home: volunteering at school, church, etc.? I am currently trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.? I have two years until my youngest is in school full-time, and then I know I will want to find something to fill my days.? If I am not working on a project, I am planning one to work on.

How long have you been scrapping? What got you started?? I started ?old school? scrapbooking my senior year of high school. By ?old school? I mean photos on a sticky album page with a few titles and maybe a few photo mats. Before that, all my photos sat in boxes in the basement of our home.? Most of my childhood photos were lost in a flood because of that, and I knew I needed a better way of saving those memories.? I made my first traditional scrapbook in college as a gift for my mother, after my father had passed away.
Why do you continue to scrapbook??It is a creative outlet for me.? But more than that, it is a way for me to share family memories with my children as they grow.? My boys and I often sit down with our old scrapbooks and tell stories about what is going on in the pages.
How would you describe your style? Busy? I try to fit as much as I can on a layout without overwhelming my eyes.? I use lots of photos, colors, patterns, and embellishments.?
What are your favorite subjects to scrap? My boys? I love scrapping everything from events to everyday moments.? They really do grow fast, and I don?t want to forget anything!
12X12, 8 1/2 X 11, or other? I always do 8?8 albums.? They are easier to store and are also easier for little hands to hold.? The first album I did was 12?12 and I felt like I had a lot of wasted space.
Favorite products? ?I love adding texture to my pages and I definitely draw from my mother?s sewing background ? I seem to always include things like ribbon, ric rac, buttons, embroidery thread, and other notions.? Most of the notions in my collection have been hand-me-downs from my mother?s sewing room!
Favorite Technique?I really don?t know if I have one.? I do love stitching on my pages, but I don?t often have the time to do it.
Do you scrap events or moments? Special photos? Or all photos? I definitely scrap everything.? I am even trying to remember to get myself in a few layouts!
Do you scrap in chronological order or random scrapping? When I first started scrapbooking, I tried to do occasion albums (birthdays, Halloween, Christmas, etc), but it was too hard for me to keep everything organized. ?All of my albums are now chronological so that if I need to take a month off of scrapping, I can jump right back to where I left off without forgetting any of the little moments.
Are you a fast scrapper or a slow scrapper? I definitely think I am a fast scrapper once I actually sit down to scrapbook.? I do a lot of pre-scrappin? when I edit photos on the computer, pre-select papers, and compile sketches/layouts that I want to incorporate.
White backgrounds, colored, or patterned? 99% of my layouts have pattern paper backgrounds.? I love love love pattern papers and I often have a hard time covering them up.
Late night scrapper or daytime scrapper? I mostly scrap at night because that is when my boys are asleep.? Plus, it is how I relax.
Scrap Idol???? No idea!? There are soooooo many talented scrappers out there.? I think one of the best things about scrapbooking is that no 2 people are exactly the same.? I draw inspiration from all sorts of works, both traditional and digital.
