Kalamazoo College is inviting applications for a one-year term appointment, with possibility of renewal, in Mathematics beginning in September 2013. Candidates are expected to have a master?s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field. Training beyond the master?s level will be viewed positively. Candidates with interest in the College Math and Physics tutoring center are especially encouraged to apply. We seek applicants who are experienced teachers with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate mathematics instruction. Responsibilities include teaching six courses (two each quarter) or an equivalent load with one course replaced with commensurate involvement in the tutoring center. Applicants should submit curriculum vitae, a statement describing teaching experience and philosophy, (unofficial) graduate and undergraduate transcripts, and arrange to have three letters of reference regarding teaching submitted online at mathjobs.org. Kalamazoo College is a highly selective liberal arts college of approximately 1400 undergraduates. It is nationally known for its innovative program and its strong tradition in the sciences.
