The case for improving the quality of jobs in the UK will on Friday be put forward at the Unions21 annual conference.
Coming just over a week before the Chancellor delivers his Budget, the event will see the launch of the first report of the Fair Work Commission.
A range of speakers, including TUC general secretary Frances O?Grady, Jon Cruddas MP and Owen Jones, will set out some of the ways people in work feel they are being treated unfairly as a direct or indirect result of the government?s pursuit of austerity and deregulation.
UnionNews co-editor Tim Lezard will present the award from the best UnionHome.org.uk writer of 2013. UnionHome.org.uk is a trade union blog which publishes articles from across the movement.
* The Strong Unions: Turning the Tide conference takes place at TUC Congress House, Great Russell Street, London from 9am-3pm on Friday, March 8th. More details here.
