Corizon wins New Mexico contract renewal

Corizon officials said the company has been awarded the renewal contract to provide medical services for the New Mexico Corrections Department, effective June 1. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Corizon, which has provided continuous health services to the state of New Mexico since 2007, will provide medical, mental health, dental and ancillary services to 6,600 inmates in the state?s 10 prisons.

Tom Voss, senior vice president of operations at Corizon, will manage the renewed New Mexico contract.

Corizon provides health-care services at more than 422 correctional facilities across the country serving more than 345,600 inmates in 29 states. Its corporate headquarters are in Brentwood, Tenn., and its operational headquarters are in St. Louis. Corizon has more than 11,000 employees.
